Simon was originally trained in music production and enjoyed a successful career in both studios and later, mastering at Metropolis before joining Masterpiece to work out of our premier suite.
2008 has seen Simon mastering forthcoming and current album and single projects from the likes of David Holmes, Carl Craig, Brooklyn Academy, Bjork, Kissey Aspland, The Boy Least Likely To, Wiley, Kid Sister, Kanye West, Kilkane, The Klaxons, The Subways, The Cribs, and Remi Nicole whilst continuing his successful working relationship with B-Unique Records which has spanned over 25 albums including Kaiser Chiefs, the Automatic & the Twang.
The past has also seen Simon lend his hand to albums from Primal Scream, Madness, Aqualung, Wet Wet Wet, The Nextmen, Vatican DC, Alterkicks, Little Man Tate, Bedouin Soundclash, The Ordinary Boys, and a film soundtrack for the motion picture 'Revolution'.
In addition Simon continues to work on releases for Dance labels including, Stealth Records, Subliminal, Sabotage Systems, Slave Records, Saw Recordings, Tommy Boy Recordings, Bug Eyed Records, Postiva Recordings & All Around The World Records.
Simon's room hosts equipment from manufacturers including, Sontec, Summit, GML, Manley, Waves, dbx & TC electronics and is equipped with Sadie, Pro Tools and Logic 7 and capable of working with sampling rates and resolutions up to 192khz 24bit. Monitoring is handled by PMC BB5s and Yamaha NS 10s. The room is equipped with a Neumann VMS80 cutting lathe.
